Since we built the first one for Colin Hay, we have built several other configurations, including two baritone 12 strings for Dave Matthews. The result is a very musical, realistic acoustic tone without any feedback. This solid body Thinline electric guitar has a unique combination of extensive chambering and a braced Sitka Spruce top, using the same bridge and pickup system as our acoustics. Avante instruments are now more widely available within the broader ESP dealer network along with Takamine Guitars, ESP Guitars, and ENGL Amps. We announced our deal at the Winter NAMM Show in January. With sales steadily increasing, and many noteworthy players buying Avantes, this partnership made a lot of sense. We developed the Avante line to provide a lower cost Veillette option with no compromise in terms of construction and playability. The Big News - ESP Guitars is now handling sales and distribution for our Avante line of instruments. There are some cool projects in the works including an unusual double neck, a Brazilian Rosewood 5 string Acoustic Bass, a Brazilian Rosewood Acoustic Grand 6 string, a Veillette Archtop guitar with a Bigsby (a first for us), and more that we'll share with you soon. The original "Musicmaster" pickup has 6 pole pieces and was designed for guitar, not bass. Everything works fine with this pickup - I just thought that the vintage bass would sell better with all original electronics. Aero is the first company to manufacture a true 4 pole piece Musicmaster pickup. I've unfortunately got to sell the bass on to fund other things so I've stuck the original pickup and wiring back into the bass for sale. This pickup allows use of your existing covers and is built as the correct 4-pole piece replacement. It sounded great and was a big step up from the original 6 pole strat pickup. Aero Type 1 MusicMasterer is replacement pickup intended for 4-string MusicMaster basses. I had this pickup and wiring fitted to my '78 Musicmaster. The pickup is wired with CTS pots and Sprague orange drop capacitor and includes a pickup cover. For sale is an Aero Musicmasterer 4 pickup.
